Facilities & Boarding

Elysian Hills, in addition to hosting a series of schooling horse trials and developing a wonderful line of sport horses by Trigger (our Belgian TB stallion), offers a limited number of stalls for boarding privately owned horses. Our boarders include riders from varied disciplines (dressage, combined training, fox hunting and pleasure riding) and varied riding levels (very green to accomplished competitors). Each boarder has one thing in common – a profound love of animals in general and their horses in particular.

The staff and owners of Elysian Hills care for the boarder’s horses as though they were our own. Horses are turned out a minimum of 16 hours per day in large, board fenced paddocks. Horses are paired in paddocks (1 to 4 horses) by personality allowing them to enjoy the company of other horses and function in a natural environment. They have access to grass or free choice hay at all times while turned out.

The Elysian Hills center aisle stable provides large, bright and well ventilated 12 x 14 ft stalls each with rubber mats and bedding which is cleaned and refreshed daily. The stable includes a lighted wash stall (hot and cold water), large and clean restrooms, tack cleaning room with utility sink and refrigerator, and individual tack lockers for the boarder’s personal belongings.

The Elysian Hills training facilities available to boarders include a 200 x 75 ft lighted indoor arena, 100 x 200 ft lighted outdoor all weather arena, a 20 x 60 m dressage arena, a 20 x 40 m dressage arena and approximately 80 acres of cross country course.

At Elysian Hills, we encourage our boarders to learn as much as possible about the proper care and maintenance of their horses. We also encourage our boarders to make safety their number one goal in riding, to establish personal goals for which ever riding discipline they choose and to expand their riding horizons. As a result, Elysian Hills has become a family of riders dedicated to bonding with their horses and enjoying them in every way possible.
