Elysian Hills Training Center, situated within the beautiful Virginia Piedmont, is dedicated to the care and wellbeing of horses. We pride ourselves in our attention to detail, commitment to the happiness of our horses and to the overall enjoyment of equestrian sports.

Facilities & Boarding

Elysian Hills offers an outstanding facility for training both horse and rider. Our facilities include over 100 cross country obstacles, a 20 x 60 meter dressage arena, a 20 x 40 meter dressage arena, lighted outdoor arena, 75 ft x 200 ft lighted indoor arena and a 30-stall barn. Our boarders enjoy the year round facilities as well as the outstanding quality of training.

Cross Country & Schooling

Elysian Hills includes over 80 acres of cross country obstacles. Our facilities include Introductory, Elementary, Beginner Novice, Novice, Training and Preliminary courses. The courses include ditches, banks, stone walls, two water jumps, and a variety of solid obstacles, confidence building obstacles. The courses country courses are open for schooling by appointment.

Stallion & Foals

Elysian Hills has established a fabulous line of sport horses based on Trigger, our Belgian Thoroughbred stallion crossed with our Thoroughbred mares. Triggers get are noted for their gentle temperament, athletic abilities and ease of training. Our foals have grown to be perfect partners for amateur riders in Combined Training, Fox Hunting and Dressage.

Horses For Sale

Elysian Hills offers a limited number of our breeding line for sale. We pride ourselves in the quality of the horses, their individual talent and their suitability for amateur riders. Each horse is well schooled on the flat, over fences, over cross country obstacles and hunting with hounds prior to being offered for sale. We have a long, successful history of matching horses to rider and a great number of very happy riders enjoying our Elysian Hills-bred horses.

Horse Trials

With the backdrop of the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains, Elysian Hills hosts an annual series of Schooling Horse Trials in an idyllic setting. Our horse trials foster an environment for building confidence in both the horse and rider. We offer Introductory through Preliminary levels of competition.

Fox Hunting

Elysian Hills is located within the territories of Old Dominion Hounds and Warrenton Hunt. Our boarders as well as students have the opportunity to participate in the fabulous sport of fox hunting in the beautiful, Virginia Piedmont.
